Melissa and Pam we want to thank you for the awesome experience we had in giving birth to Adia. I want you both to know how much I really appreciate you both for really caring what I wanted out of my birth experience. We are so happy for the decision we made to have natural and waterbirth , you guys are awesome!!! We can never thank you enough. God bless you always.

The birth of our second child Josie Rose was incredible. We arrived at the birth center after my water broke on the due date. The ladies took my blood pressure and listened to the baby baby. (She was much more calm than I was) Melissa began to fill the birthing tub to my surprise as I thought they would send me home to wait for the labor to begin. Nope, they sent the hubby and I off to dinner we got back took some herbs to encourage labor, which was not as horrible as I thought it would be , but after 40 weeks I would have stood on my head if they told me that would bring labor on. For some reason I had it in my head that it would that several hours for contractions to even start. I was wrong, by the time the pajamas were on, our son's bed was set up and a movie was playing the contractions were slowly starting. Pam and Melissa were wonderful about making us feel at home, it was a very calm and casual atmosphere. We all went to bed, of course my husband was asleep instantly. By 11 pm the contractions were strong enough that I wanted to get into the wonderfully warm water. The heat tool almost all the pain away. I still had to focus and to breath through the contractions, but the warmth of the water and the buoyancy eliminated the discomfort. the next three hours went by unbelievably fast. Pam and Melissa took turns sitting with me and listening to the baby. By 2 am the contractions were close enough and intense enough I woke up my hubby and made him come sit with me, if all of us girls were up all night he might as well join the party. All I could think of was how tired I was, I told the girls that by 5 am we would all be back in bed. Pam said "by 5 am you'll be playing with your baby." sure enough 2 1/2 hours of heavy contractions and a few more minutes of pushing and our little girl Josie Rose was born at 4:48 am. Our 2 year old son Jesse John got to be there when his little sister was born. It was wonderful to be able to cuddle in bed together as a family. My husband and I were so glad that we had decided to have Pam and Melissa as our midwife. They provided excellent care in the casual and fun way. By the time the baby came we had become friends. I was treated with respect and proper care and we had a truly awesome experience. Thanks Ladies

I think my pregnancy had a unique twist. First, my best friend and I were due the same day, with the same midwife and we both wanted to try her birthing tub. Well as luck had it we had our babies 10 days apart. My daughter Eilidh was born Nov 14th at the Midwifery Place. My labor was very easy and since I had very irregular contractions, it was gut instinct to say " Scott, lets get to Columbia Falls or we'll miss trying that nice tub!" Well we arrived at 1:30 am, and Pam and Melissa were ready for us. Not to mention melissa filled the tub hours before to get it not much to get it hot. I didn't waste any time getting in. It was so relaxing, after about 1 hr. scott got it, well then it hit me, about 4 really tough contractions we had Eilidh. Since I was leaning kind of over the tub, and refusing to let Pam's hands go, Melissa assisted Scott on catching our daughter. It was an awesome experience, not to mention I invited Pam's daughters to see the miracle especially since one is inspired to be a midwife someday like her mom. Having a waterbirth at Pam and Melissa's birthing center was the best birth experience we could ever ask for..
